Q: What type of jobs does The Comar Agency place?
A: We place accounting/finance, legal, marketing, human resources, administrative, management and personal assistant positions; servicing major studios, talent agencies, management companies, production/post production houses, PR firms, advertising and media related companies, animation companies, television and feature film producers, fashion companies and sports organizations. Additionally, we provide our services to celebrities, directors, non-profit organizations and event planning companies.
Q: How can I meet with an agent at The Comar Agency?
A: We only accept resumes from permanent residents living within a 20 mile radius of Los Angeles. If you meet the location requirement, please submit your resume in a word attachment to resumes@comaragency.com or fax your resume to 310-288-0205. If your experience meets the criteria of our current clients' needs we will contact you to arrange an interview. Please understand that we cannot speak with all of our applicants and not all applicants can be placed due to the high volume of resumes received and the requirements set forth by our clients. We will only contact you should we see an opening that your background would be a match for. If an appropriate position is not available most resumes will be retained in our search database.
Q: How long will the interview take?
A: Please allow at least 2 hours for the interview process. When you come to our office you will be greeted by our front desk administrator you will then proceed to fill out paperwork and when you are finished with your paperwork you will be required to complete our online computer testing. After you have completed your tests you will be interviewed by your designated agent.
Please bring the following:
- 1. A total of TWO forms of ID
- ONE from the following list: Driver's License or ID card issued by state or US Government (must have a photo), US Passport, Permanent Resident Card, or Unexpired Employment Authorization
- AND ONE from the following list: US social security card or birth certificate
- 2. If you are a resident alien you must also provide your green card or visa that demonstrates your ability to work within the US.
- 3. An updated, hard copy of your resume
- 4. A print out of your e-mail confirmation for your personal reference, as it contains the time and date of your appointment, directions, a list of what to bring, and the name of your agent
Q: How should I dress?
A: Please dress professionally in business or business casual when coming to our offices, when you are out on assignment or when you are interviewing with a client. First impressions play a critical role in your job search so please dress accordingly.
